Goodreads Summary:
It’s time.
Evil is running rampant and sweet Anna Whitt is its target. Nobody knows when or how the Dukes will strike, but Anna and her Nephilim allies will do anything necessary to rid the earth of the demons and their oppressive ways.
The stakes are higher than ever, and Anna is determined that the love she feels will be her strength, not a liability. But trying to protect the ones she loves while running for her life and battling demonic forces proves to be perilous—especially as faces are changing and trust is fleeting. When the Duke of Lust sends Anna’s great love, Kaidan Rowe, to work against her, Anna must decide how much she’s prepared to risk.
In the most sensual and fast-paced installment yet, Sweet Reckoning brings all the beloved Neph together one last time to fight for their freedom.

If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would. It was so freaking good!
Anna & Kaiden have quickly become one of favorite book couples of all time. Sometimes in books, it becomes clear that the main characters will be together forever and then it gets boring without the curiosity and enjoyment of "the chase." Luckily, that was not the case here. These two spent the first couple of books staying away from each other because that's what was in everyone's best interest. By the end of the 2nd book it was clear that Anna & Kaiden's love for each other would outweigh the so called wrongness of it and they would do whatever it took to make it work. I thought this book might get boring because of this, because the so called chase was over, but I was so wrong! These two are such a perfect ying/yang combo. Their personalities fit into eachother so perfectly and they bring out the best in each other. I loved watching their relationship grow and watching Kaiden learn what love is and fall head over heals. I loved watching him strip off his bad boy outside shell and allow himself to feel and love and be loved.
I think Wendy Higgins is such a talented author. The characters she built were multi dimensional and fun to grow with. They were not cliche and their love story happened at exactly the right speed.
I saw that this series has a book 4 coming out, I thought it was a trilogy! The way it wrapped up you can tell it was originally supposed to be a trilogy but since it was so well received she is adding on. I assume the main characters of the next books will be those children they adopted. It will be really interested to see what happens to the angel/demon race after Anna just fulfilled the prophecy and sent them all back to their respective homes.
