Michelle Hodkin does it again! How does she manage to keep me so confused yet so intrigued at the same time?!
I really thought we'd get more answers and have less questions after reading this book but I have to say it was just as confusing as the last one. I'm glad we got a few answers and the ending was quite the cliff hanger.
***SPOILER***
I really don't think Noah is dead.. he probably healed himself or Dr. Kells is lying.. I want to know the truth to her involvement in this.. What does she have to gain? I'm sure we'll find out in the next one.

Goodreads Summary:
The past few years have held more surprises than part-angel Clara Gardner could ever have anticipated. Yet from the dizzying highs of first love, to the agonizing low of losing someone close to her, the one thing she can no longer deny is that she was never meant to live a normal life.
Since discovering the special role she plays among the other angel-bloods, Clara has been determined to protect Tucker Avery from the evil that follows her . . . even if it means breaking both their hearts. Leaving town seems like the best option, so she’s headed back to California - and so is Christian Prescott, the irresistible boy from the vision that started her on this journey in the first place.
As Clara makes her way in a world that is frighteningly new, she discovers that the fallen angel who attacked her is watching her every move. And he’s not the only one. . . . With the battle against the Black Wings looming, Clara knows she must finally fulfill her destiny. But it won’t come without sacrifices and betrayal.
In the riveting finale of the Unearthly series, Clara must decide her fate once and for all.

This is the first series I've finished even though I wasn't obsessed with it. I think I've given a solid 3 stars from book one all the way to book three.
Even though I wasn't particularly interested in the characters I did insist that I find out how it ended. I'm glad I did.. I liked the ending and I appreciate the creativity and descriptiveness of the paths each character's life took after the fact.
**SPOILER**
I always kinda liked Christian better than Tucker but I was kind of glad Clara didn't end up with him. What he went on to do (be a father to Angela's baby) was a much better option.

Goodreads Summary:
Rhine and Gabriel have escaped the mansion, but danger is never far behind.
Running away brings Rhine and Gabriel right into a trap, in the form of a twisted carnival whose ringmistress keeps watch over a menagerie of girls. Just as Rhine uncovers what plans await her, her fortune turns again. With Gabriel at her side, Rhine travels through an environment as grim as the one she left a year ago - surroundings that mirror her own feelings of fear and hopelessness.
The two are determined to get to Manhattan, to relative safety with Rhine’s twin brother, Rowan. But the road there is long and perilous - and in a world where young women only live to age twenty and young men die at twenty-five, time is precious. Worse still, they can’t seem to elude Rhine’s father-in-law, Vaughn, who is determined to bring Rhine back to the mansion...by any means necessary.
In the sequel to Lauren DeStefano’s harrowing Wither, Rhine must decide if freedom is worth the price - now that she has more to lose than ever.
Actual Rating: 3.5
A lot happened in this book but I didn't like it.. I like Gabrielle even less and I really missed Linden.. He has very little to do with this book and I found myself just dying for her to get back to the castle.. This book felt like a lot of filler.. I'm glad to be done with it and on to the next.
